Little Sunnies was born from a meltdown in a shoe store parking lot. Our founder's son refused to walk in his brand-new "first walker" shoes—crying, sitting down, pulling at them desperately. When she finally got them off, his chubby little toes were red and compressed, squeezed into a shape feet weren't meant to be. She looked at those expensive shoes and realized they were beautiful, well-reviewed, and completely wrong. That week, she called every parent she knew. The stories flooded in: shoes that fell off at playgrounds, morning battles that ended in tears, wide feet that wouldn't fit anything, and an overwhelming sense of "am I doing this wrong?" The answer was clear—it wasn't the parents or the babies. It was the shoes.

Armed with pediatric research and feedback from dozens of exhausted moms, we created Little Sunnies around one simple truth: babies' feet aren't just small adult feet.
